| Located at an altitude of 1300 m, we are in the midts of superb and diverse Landscapes. Welcoming villages and smiling villagers. The lodge is surrounded by bougainvilliers of all colors, more that 40 different species of hibiscuses, Bananas trees, pineapples, mangoes, the whole being encircled by wheat fields and terraced paddy fields, depending on the season. |

Composed of several buildings, one of which being the lounge and dining room, very convivial with a fireplace for the wintertime. Everybody eats at the "table d'hôte", fixed and varied menus (usually vegetarian based on the national Nepali dish, and Dal-Bhat -Tarkari vegetables and lentil sauce). |

THE
CLIMATE: Located in a valley (1300m), we enjoy a tropical microclimate,
where the Lodge is, we have never seen snow and the temperature
never went below freezing point (hence the luxuriant plantations).
From December to January, we have sunny weather, between 14 to 18 degrees at midday, the temperature drops to 6 to 7 degrees in the afternoon and then to 2 to 3 degrees in the evening. |
| To come to the 2 Rivers lodge, there is a 4 hour bus ride or by taxi and two hours to walk on pathways (not difficult). A guide will guide you to the lodge and you will have porters for your luggage during the walk. |

| WALK TO HELP! : Some hundreds of yards away, is found our free dispensary and school. these humanitarian actions created by the French association Rhone- Helambu are self reliant through our trekking agency, Nepal ecology Trek, and helped by the 2 Rivers Lodge. We do not receive any institutional subventions from whom so eves and we do not request it. We run it all by our work by the lodge and the trekking agency. | c |

We treat approximately 22000 people a year ! Doctors, Dentists, Nurses, European volunteers come to train our Nepalese nurses. |
|
We also built a school with seven
classrooms, completely free, for the little ones who study in
Nepali and English. At the moment, 240 children in this free
school. (click on picture ) In India, 18 years ago we created 2 schools, they are still running with 520 children in a Shantytown of Delhi |
